Take some inner city boys out for a weekend of beer drinking, Hank Jr., raccoon hunting, mudding, and all the extras that people do while out doing these things and I am sure they would say the same.

Take the inner city kids out for a weekend of mud riding in trucks and four wheelers, fishing, camping, cooking in black iron on an open fire, and shooting beer cans with an old single shot 22. They would like it.
Take the redneck kids into the inner city for a weekend of shooting at people you do not like, staying fricked up as a lab rat, and running over those you do not like with a vehicle. They would like it.
