I need the OT's thoughts & protocol for "Old school" cologne

Obviously this is not a new topic here but I searched and found nothing and I am still genuinely curious how other men felt about their cologne(s). Also, any women's thoughts are appreciated because they are the ones sniffing us anyway for the most part(unless Aggie).
I for one rarely wear any cologne and a bottle given to me as a gift will last 10 years or so even if I like it. I will wear some on a special occasion or church if I think about it. I honestly pretty much stick to my "Old Spice" Sport deodorant for a clean and fresh smell which has me thinking about old and new colognes that people are now wearing.
Some people I've heard talk seem to treat great smelling colognes like a fashion statement it seems and won't wear something like "Cool Water" and/or "Aqua di Gio" that everyone here once all loved at one time because its dated now.
Obviously, you don't want to get caught by some grandma rocking Drakkar and have to hear about that one time gramps took her to a drive thru in the 80's. That one is bit to obvious since every male that has ever worn cologne in their life has worn Drakkar at one point.(If over 35)
The other ones I mentioned are pretty subtle in comparison and hard to point out exactly what they may be unless you run up on a Aggie fan then he may be able to call you out on it and give you some shhit.
Anyone here have up to date thoughts on men do's and don'ts with cologne(s) and maybe mention some of their new favorites now, or ones they still wear in a pinch and don't give a damn what others think?

Classics I wear are Burberry original and Issey Miyake. Realized I was getting old when I saw Burberry on sale at Walmart…

Does your second period teacher know you are posting on TD?

Same situation bro, I saw a bottle of Cool Water at CVS or Walgreens like 5-10 years ago for like $15-25 bucks.
I said to myself damn I may have to stock up I love that stuff. 3-4 bottles would last me the rest of my life. Ha

English Leather as aftershave for the last 65 years or so. I have to order it online now as it is no longer available in the local pharmacies.

Polo Green
Polo Blue
I hardly ever wear cologne, but when I do, it’s one of those.

terre d'hermes is the gold standard IMO
I don't wear cologne often but I'm not against it
your grandad who fought in WWII wore it, so modern dudes aren't above some cologne

I should keep this secret but Kourous. I've called it panty dropper for years. NEVER had a woman that didn't love it, a couple have taken my bottle while at my house. I can't put into words how this stuff has worked over the years, now of course you have to be part of it to,cant be just a cologne thing.LINK
