Ok fine, we’ll bump Louisiana up to 2nd world status.

Oh that's just super. The "I know you are but what am I" tactic.

As usual, you're all up in this thread picking e-fights with posters and douching it up. You may not have made the direct statement "Louisiana is so great", but your stance and your abrasiveness toward others implies that you're saying that (who dare say how much the state sucks compared to other states). I might have gone over your head with that so please forgive me if I have.

I'm sorry. I didn't dumb it down enough for you. I knew it.

So instead of answering my question you’re going to all of a sudden go into attack mode? Is that your strategy here?

I <3 Louisiana but I have been back here for 5 months now and am ready to leave again. Just so many more opportunities just about anywhere but here and so much more to experience.

I finally decided my next destination will be Vegas for a year or two. Wrapping up some things with property and such here then we are off. Hopefully be out of here in a few months.

I answered your question already. But you're so quick to come up with what you think is a quick witty response, that you don't bother to read what people write in reply to you.

Was I the one proclaiming that lsunurse grew up in a trailer and went to Glen Oaks High School? Or how about calling me a woman and telling me to take a xanax? I would think that that constitutes what you call attack mode, no? So maybe you should be asking yourself what exactly is the strategy here?

How many Natural Lights deep are you into that 12 pack, Shane?

Vegas is actually pretty nice once you're off the strip. I've spent a lot of time in the Summerlin area this past year. It's really nice and right near the mountains. But also a quick Uber or Lyft ride down to the strip.

I’m from small town Louisiana, went to LSU and ULL and live in Austin now. I can honestly say there is nothing in Louisiana I miss outside of a few friends and my immediate family, and I think Austin is the most overrated city I’ve ever been to much less lived in. frick that shithole state. Next year I’m moving further west and never looking back.

You're out of your mind. Baton Rouge is so much nicer and sophisticated than Vegas.

We plan on moving to Summerlin actually. Have some friends there now.

I didn't compare the two. I just offered a nice part of Vegas he could consider if he is going there.

Unfortunately it's a bit unrealistic to be nomadic with a family. I'm planning to bounce around a bit after my daughter is done with school though.

Well good deal. Hope you enjoy it! It's really pretty, clean and you can definitely tell they are expanding it a lot. The Red Rocks are gorgeous!

Understandable. It's just me and the GF and I can run my business from anywhere and she sold her business and doesn't need to work anymore so we are going to just enjoy different areas. We're both bored in LA, though. We want Vegas for the experiences, we have friends there and it's also close to L.A. where we both lived previously so it makes sense for now.

Yea I just spent 9 days in Summerlin looking around at houses and such and it just made me more anxious.

Luckily I had my kid in my 20s. I should be an empty nester in my mid to late 40s. I love Louisiana but want some mountains and cooler weather in my life while I'm still young enough to enjoy it.
