Kinda long so...
As I pull out this morning I see my neighbors detach carport on fire. Pull in and talk with the owners. They are waiting on the fire dept. Propane tanks starts exploding as we watch it burn. Nothing we could do other than console the children. All the while the fire is running towards the house through a covered walkway. Fire dept pulls in. We leave. Keep in mind this is in Crap Sling, MS. Fast forward 2 hours, a prominent figure of the community and a man with whole lotta stroke in MS calls in a favor. He calls a local business owner and operator of heavy equipment. The owner/op is bringing a trackhoe to open the roof so the firemen could finish putting out the fire. Since the house is so close to the road the local LO’s had set up a detour a mile or so from the house fire. Well owner/op thinks he has the all clear so he blows on through the detour. Deputy dawgs and green jeans pursue. Operator gets out at the residence to unload the ho only to be tazed and cuffed. After a brief conversation the cuffs come off for the operator to do his Good Samaritan work. After said Good Samaritan work is completed, the operator is then recuffed and hauled to the clink.
Only in Mississippi.
TLDR
Tazed, cuffed, uncuffed, Good Samaritan Work, recuffed, Stoney Lonsome.

So your idea to help your neighbors with a carport on fire is to pull in and talk?
Posted on 8/4/18 at 9:16 pm to SmokinJoe
I wish I hadn't read all that. I mean its a slightly interesting story but you could've fit it into a couple of sentences.

Since they didn't kill him, I'm assuming he's white.

That is so damn shitty of them. I usually support the cops because i have worked with many of them with the fire dept on calls..But there are always an assholes in any group, no matter who they are. Sad but true

Cops are a lot better today then when I was young(51 now) before cell phones and body cams. I was at a bar back in the late 80's ( Razzy's Hammond, La) anyways I had a mixed drink in my hand when I pulled out of the parking lot. These two deputies pull me over one block away( they were waiting to get someone) I spilled my drink in my lap when I pulled over. The deputy had one of those large heavy flash lights. He told me looks like you had an accident ( insinuating I pissed my pants) that's when I fricked up and asked " why you looking at my dick?" Yea I was drunk , so the the officer swings that flash light and I hit the ground bleeding ( right above my eye) He yells at me " you ain't gonna get smart with me boy!" and I responded stupidly " not as long as have that badge. That was met with a few kicks. By this time he had kicked my arse pretty good. The other officer was nervy because how I looked . They gave me a choice of going home or go to the hospital and go to jail. I went home

3 state troopers blow by me and my daughter today on left shoulder at I-10 and Highland. Before Siegan they pull a small car over with one trooper parking in the right lane blocking it-forcing traffic to dodge at 70+ mph. All 3 troopers have weapons drawn and daughter ducks in seat as we drive by since car pulled over driver-if pulling a weapon would have had us in line of fire.
A large, young , terrified white girl immediately has her hands up and I watch her back to the troopers as we drive by and see in mirror. As far as I could see no one else in the car and when they came by us the car was not in front of them and as they got out in front they turned on lights and she immediately pulled over..I can only speculate but I saw the extreme fear in the girls eyes and thought this is why people don’t give a shite about cops.
