re: People that leave piles of hulls on a field or water should have their licenses revoked - SmokinJoe
This is the reason I stopped having them on my property. I spent hours after hunts for 3 year picking up trash and hulls in my hay field. On the last year we hunted it, I told everyone before the hunt to clean up after you shoot. Come hunt for free, eat food that I bought and prepared, then trash ...

That looks really good! Think I’m gonna drag some cedar to the sawmill and put some together for the camp. Thanks for the idea!...

Just buried my 12 year old lab - SmokinJoe
Man this is tough. She had been with me through some dark times in my life. I quit hunting her at 6 because of her hips but she was tough as nails. Made every step me and my dad made around our farm. She was hell on cats but loved all the kids. Your hips don’t hurt any more Boo. See you on the othe...

re: Anybody tried the Mojo flickers for doves? - SmokinJoe
I use the mojo spinning wing decoys on a pvc tree. Birds definitely go to them but be ready for some crazy shots. They act like a fool when they get close to the fake tree. ...

re: Bow cases you can put your bow and Quiver in? what are yall using? - SmokinJoe
Ok. Most branded soft sided cases have a spot for the quiver. I can make it work on my old junky Plano box. Just have to position it so it closes. The SKB that I travel with has room for it....

re: How much do you practice archery? - SmokinJoe
I shoot every single day. If it’s raining I shoot 30 yrds in my shop. If it’s nice I walk my 3d range. May only shoot 20 arrows but like you said, it’s therapeutic to me. YouTube some videos on form if you have any questions. Archery learing center and John Dudley both put out good videos. My advic...

re: Toddler Hunting Gear - SmokinJoe
My first 2 wear academy bibs and jacket now but when they smaller they wore carhart or dickies. Most of the deer hunting is out of a box or blind so camo wasn’t important. Just regular warm clothes and a mr heater will get it done also. ...

I know y’all love a good cop story... - SmokinJoe
Kinda long so... As I pull out this morning I see my neighbors detach carport on fire. Pull in and talk with the owners. They are waiting on the fire dept. Propane tanks starts exploding as we watch it burn. Nothing we could do other than console the children. All the while the fire is running to...

re: Bow releases - SmokinJoe
I had gotten into a bad habit of punching the trigger(index finger). That started leading to a good dose of target panic. So I had to make a change. It may not have made me a better shot. May have been that I felt more comfortable in my release. I will say this, fit and feel are extremely importa...
