Its funny watching all this generational "pride" and fighting. I find it incredibly funny that the Boomers, children of the 60's, possibly the only reason for the modern day democratic party and liberalism as we know it, are pissed off about young people being liberal. YOU were liberal then too. They will change their toon when its their turn to pay just like you did.

Yes, I know how to spell tune.

Actually older but I defer to Whitney’s take on this subject:

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

Ah, we lost her waaaay too soon....

I was NEVER liberal, it's a mental disorder as far as I am concerned. I narrowly missed being called up for Nam and watched in fury and shame as those who were got treated like shite by spoiled brats that sat it out in college.

I saw a lot of history, heard George Wallace speak, saw the segregated restrooms and water fountains, experienced desegregation of my schools(didn't go so well), white flight, JFK, King, RFK, The moon landing, the 70s and on and on, I was there. I lived it I don't need a history book to tell me what I should think about it.

What do I think about the younger ones? I feel sorry for you. I wish we had left a better world. I see my grandchildren and I worry about their future should some of these sick people on the Left take power. A lot of you follow those people, and I do not understand why.

OK, i’m Just shy of that group, but I’ll chime in.

I think teenagers and young adults today are not at all unlike other generations when we were that age save the fact that they take themselves way too seriously, feel like they have to have all the answers all the time, focus entirely too much of their energies on things they cannot control (politics and other people’s beliefs) and not enough on what they can control (themselves and their futures)

They spend an exorbitant amount of energy on bemoaning their current situations in life and passing blame on other generations rather than taking advantage of what lies in front of them, and within them to become great in themselves. Those who fail to do that are successful in life and are rising to become the leaders, and those who don’t are never going anywhere, ever. They say they are doomed, and because they say so, they most assuredly are. They speak it into existence all by themselves.

These are not things totally reserved for the younger generations by any stretch, but it is what I see as being a standard in place, and it’s sad really, because of the potential to actually become great today.

The Good

More highly educated (as in attainment)
Tech savvy
Travel well
Logically inclined.

The Bad

Diminishing ability to cope or solve problems
Not artistically inclined
Whine a lot, blame others for their problems.
Need lots of help to get by, not very independent

That's all great Grandpa and I'm not a younger one either. So you were not a liberal then either? YOU is a plural and YOUR generation(who is now the Trump generation and was the Bush generation) were also once the Kennedy, Woodstock, and Kent St. generation who might I add invented fricking protesting. My point is that YOU feel sorry for the young people of today, but forget that once YOU were the very same generation of young people who were going to "ruin" America. Generations of people mature at the same rate as individual people GRAMPS. And thank you for your service, truly.

Cars were legit
Music was legit
Women were legit
Sports was legit
Economy was legit

I'd hate to be growing up today
