There's one indicator right there.

two reasons to appreciate travel ball names:
1) I can instantly tell whose parents are trashy
2) they make normal names appear to be much cooler than they are

And for girls, dance teams. Seriously, I was at the Pels game on Tuesday and while the Pelicans Dance Team did a routine, the big screen had a loop video with all dance team members pictures and their names. They were so bad I just went and looked them up again. They include:
Bailey, Cailyn, Caitlyn, Chauncey, Destiny, Harley Rae, Jordan, Kaira, Kaitlyn, Kennedy, Krystal, Macey, MADISYN, Re'Jon, and Rian.

shite, my first name is a member of Jesus’ disciple, and my middle name is David, GOAT king of Israel.
What do I win?
If it's just the root, you don't win anything because I'm in the same boat.

Here is my theory: Trashy people try to make themselves look bourgeoisie by hiding their lack of wealth behind a fancy spelled name

"John" is classic and never dated.

John and Elizabeth for my two. Put me down in the group that cared how it appeared on a resume as a deciding factor. Middle names are from grandparents and are also normal

Idk, what is John?

Name frequency changes constantly and new names are always being generated- since forever.
Jason was the Jaxon of 40yrs ago, etc., etc.
Simple stuff. Get over it.
