Look, not everyone can be John, David, Michael.

I'm a fan of finding classic names that just aren't used often.

If someone wants to name their kid Taylee, who cares. Just don't name your kid something awful like Chair or Apple or something because eventually it will be on a resume.

At the turn of the century it was popular to name kids Preston, Parker, Hunter, Bailey, etc.

We didn’t fall in line with the popular names trend and provided our kids with classic/traditional names based upon existing family members names.

Let us not forget that Michael Jackson named a child "Blanket."

They’re coming back. Lots of little Henry’s and George’s and Oliver’s running around now.

No he didn't.

The media called him blanket because of the balcony dangling incident.

Names around here are either way out there or completely normal, about half and half. There were four Carolines on my daughter's team of twenty last year.

My first name is unusual and I don't hate it but growing up, nobody could pronounce it right the first time, no one could spell it but the worst of it was I never had a personalized bike license plate.

Because of my experience my two kids have normal names with traditional spellings. First one we just liked and the second is a feminized version of my husband's name. Was really pushing for another name when pregnant with our oldest but gave up when people kept pronouncing it a different way even after I had just said it.

My kids all have vintage "normal" names. Names we considered, but didn't use, were the likes of Eleanor, Wyatt, Mary, William, Reagan, Cara, Franklin etc. It's the golf and tennis pro alternative to travel ball names.

You know the quotation marks mean that's a nickname right?

My kids all have traditional names. Not in the "Biblical" sense but they all have names that wont get their resumes tossed in the garbage

Until about 5 minutes ago, I thought that was his real middle name.

My daughter's first and middle name were normal 80 years ago and still are today. My wife didn't want a travel ball name anyway but I insisted that we not name her something trendy.
