Damn, that is awful. You did great.

I salute your efforts Op!
Where were you a medic?
Also, be mindful of alcohol consumption. If you find yourself drinking more than usual, you might be sliding into a pattern of using it as a reaction to the trauma you witnessed.
Either way, Seek help bro

That is traumatic, saying you did your best won’t make you feel better. You are a good person for being sympathetic and empathetic to those who needed this guy and the guy himself. Great job, you did your best, you cannot change the world. Continue being a good man, sir, the world needs people who are willing to get involved

I can't imagine.
My deep respect for your time as a medic. Definitely a job I don't think I could have done, unheralded hero's IMHO
As for the dude, you did all anyone can do. If someone chooses to live a life that can make a "situation" like that a possibility, then that's on them. We are all in control of our own destiny, for the most part.
Sorry you got caught in the middle of someone else's bad life choices :(

Just looked and nothing new involving the incident on KATC.
I did find out from a neighbor that some dumbass friend of the shooter went into his home and tried to "pack up some things" at 3am, claims he was trying to help or something. Lady called the cops because she heard noise, she stays next door to the guy.
Guy is just a goofy baw type/car salesman so I believe he was sincere and not trying to steal anything. Can confirm that he is 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, dumbass though.
Anyways, he's been arrested for simple burglary.

Have they not released the name of the shooter or did I miss it?

ETA: I'll put this in the OP.
In case anyone was curious, here's the burglary baw too. Maybe one of you can confirm that this dude is dumb.

Sounds like it either clipped his lung or tension pneumothorax.
Doubtful...more likely hit a pulmonary artery and he bled out into his chest cavity. Not a survivable injury.
If the bullet hit his heart, then the guy would have been dead before the OP got to the car.
I am sure that he did have a pneumothorax, but I doubt that is what killed him.

Went by my friend's, swung by and took a picture of the fence.

So, a black guy kills a native American. Can hate crime charge be added to the second degree murder charge?

I think I saw you
It was amazing that the guy's car went through those poles without touching them.
