No, he was stabbed. I'm not sure if it was self defense or not because I wasn't there from the start. Didn't even know he was stabbed until someone else mentioned it.

Man I’m really sorry that you had to deal with that. Don’t, ever, beat yourself up for the actions of somebody else. You did all you could do, and that’s all you can do. Holy hell sorry you went through this and more sorry for the gf and children. Sounds like your friend lost it and will be serving alot of time doesn't seem like his life was in jeopardy when he shot the dude driving away. There are two sides but he is going to jail. Stay strong my friend.
