Alcohol wouldn't be a problem.

I got an aunt and uncle who makes grape wine and trades some of it with a guy who makes sone strongest moonshine. I can't even drink it, but they love it.

The authors assertion, as I recall, is that an EMP could be used by a group that has a nuke but doesn’t have the sophistication to detonate it on land. No idea how legitimate that is.

Go back further and read through "Alas, Babylon" by Pat Frank. I very much enjoyed that one when I first picked it up more four decades ago. I believe it was published in 1959.

Yeah but on the scale you need to make a large impact like the book suggests would require a state funded operation. Some small terrorist organization isn’t going to be launching big enough hardware to do much of anything. The book is a nice work of fiction, it is a fun read though.

It's true!

I thought A&Ms defense is what allowed us to win that game. I never knew it was an EPMP.

Poor Clint stoerner, he got hit with one too, allowing Tennessee to win.

I live on a lake and have years of supplies in crappie jigs. But I’ve had dreams of people pulling guns on me at my brush piles. It could get that bad.

Let me tell you. I live in the sticks on a no name road. Only referred to by locals as White Noise Lane. But it will be called frick Around and Find Out Lane when something this bad happens.

CMEs happen all the time. It’s an ICME towards Earth you have to worry about.

Definitely a good series. I think the premise of "Patriots, Surviving the Coming Collaspe" may be where we are headed. Ie Venezuela
