Terrible stuff right now and not getting any better. By the time people finally wake up, all the frogs will have been boiled alive ...

Would have to protect electronics somehow. Maybe faraday cage.
Great books though.

Are the electronics and batteries that power the NVG's not going to be fried and useless?

It’s not going to be worth trying to live on this planet anymore if something like that goes down. I would rather just get vaporized in a quick nuclear attack. An EMP attack would turn into Lord of the Flies meets Mad Max.

EMPs aren’t going to do near the devastation describe in this book. Nuclear wasteland is much more likely in apocalyptic scenarios.

Probably have to keep the night vision in a faraday cage. Unless it's candle based. I listened to the first one. Will probably listen to the others as well.

It’s about an EMP attack on the US. I will be buying some stuff in the very near future including an old dirt bike, night vision and more ammunition. I’m also going to be damn sure I stay in shape. A pace maker or diabetes is a death sentence. I highly recommend reading the book.
My parents (in their 80s) actually for quite a while got their prescriptions filled just a few days early so that they have a larger supply.
I've known for many years (huge fan of dystopian novels here) that if shite ever hit the fan, the first thing you do is head out of the city before it gets bad. You take the most remote back roads in the dead of night.

Imagine all of the commercial jets falling out of the sky due to an EMP across the nation.

You don't know how an EMP works.

CME’s happen about every 100 years.
I could have swore that dude said something about twice every millennium.

As far as I can remember people have been saying this. The present is fresh and the past is either forgotten or in memory its the watered down version..
Crime was much worse in the 60s, 70s, 80s and for most of the 90s. When the mob was active they made up for a lot of murders..
The only difference today is that we have social media and every little story is put into people's faces all day long. Everyone thinks everything is going to shite. This is the best time to be a live and people don't even know it.

That would require a lot of detonations. Any country dumb enough to do it would start an all out nuke war. EMPs aren’t gonna do as much as something like this book suggests and you might as well just start nuking people if you are gonna detonate shite above them.

I'm Good...
Dead end dirt road , about 7 neighbors, lifelong Hunters, Gatherers.
No Citys within 150 miles except Tallahassee.
Salt and Fresh water right down the road.
Folks been living here for several Hundred years with no Cell phones or Electricity.
As far as Diabetes and such , folks' diet would change in a month and some of that would be gone as well.
It'd sure suck with no Ac and beer but you could have the prettiest girl in Town for a Ham sandwich.... winning
