Which was figured into pay for drivers thru a lawsuit by the leach scum of America...lawyers. which, by the fricking way, increased costs to all of us buying the shite...which increases said inflation.

So I'd rather lower pricing, 1099 workers, not extra for vehicles......take a job if you want, do it, and stfu about the rest

Gas is down from $4.09 to $3.89 at my local Costco yesterday! Winning!

If DoorDash is so busy the economy must not be that bad.

Its the easiest thing to cut.

Many people don't understand the scale of how DoorDash has crept into restaurants and other things they provide.

Some restaurant chains are provided a "white label" Door Dashish app for food orders. That way the food prices and promotions of the restaurant are reflected in the app, and the order comes through the Door Dash System. Another thing, if you order through Door Dash, most prices are more and then Door Dash adds fees and other tips expected for the driver.

I don't remember where I saw this photo, but it showed how much was sold on Door Dash from a restaurant, and all the fees and promotions that reduced the payout to the restaurant and it looked pretty bad for a restaurant to continue using Door Dash as they were barely covering the food cost of the items sold.

that’s the thing, I’m seeing way more older people lately. Deeply troubling

With the way Americans treat savings and credit cards, sounds like it would be inevitable for a large portion of society. And this doesn't help

times are getting hard for a lot of people so they are taking up these kind of jobs.

Had an attractive middle age woman deliver food for me a while back. I was shocked because I expected someone meth'd out. Came to the door with her kid though.

Welcome change from the dude that smelt like Marlboro red's and so did my bag of food.

You have fuel prices at these levels for an extended period of time, I really don’t see how shite doesn’t start breaking soon. People forget this but the period of high fuel prices caused by Iraq War II many believe was a precipitating factor in the 2007-08 financial crisis in that it caused people with subprime mortgages to begin defaulting en masse. Could be seeing something similar coming. Look for a wave of defaults in the auto and consumer credit markets. Good luck out there.

My best friend recently quit his job as an electronics tech to door dash He says the money is fine, but the hours are great

Did he recently start doing doordash?

Doordash pushes good orders to new dashers to incentivize them to keep dashing.

After the initial push it will dry up and quickly.

You can legit make 25-30 an hour when you start. After you're settled that will drop to about 15 unless you're in a really good market.

Naw, a lot of these people have degrees. At least some of them probably could still get a normal job but they are just burned out.

Some people are disabled. Some people can’t drive. Not everybody gets door dash through luxury.

If you think we pay a lot for gas just look at other countries.
