Why are you helping this guy defraud people?

You are shameful.

I have never been in that situation, but I would think you have a responsibility to report him.

Are you 100% sure he is committing fraud? Have you discussed this with other employees? If you don't report it and he goes down, then you will be an accessory right?

I have called him out several times... each time he has changed the tx plan... but the whole office is on a very lucrative bonus system... they are all against me...

Nah I'm on your side on this, and it's commendable that you would speak up (you really should). I just like to shite on libertarian idealism when I get the chance, sorry for doing it in your thread

Huge amount of fraud in Dentistry. Had a very reputable dentist here tell me I had a cavity. Told him I'd wait till it gave me a problem. He brought it up 2 more times on routine check ups and I told him I'd wait. On the 3rd one I asked him how it was looking after getting X-rays and he said I didn't have one.

This same office tries to diagnose everyone with TMJ and tells them they need surgery and all kids they push to have tonsils removed ( female dentist was college roommates with the Dr she recommends to remove the tonsils)

I said that to say this kind of shite is what makes people lose trust and anyone with knowledge of it should speak up

That is messed up.

I bought a bite guard for sleeping from my previous dentist, cost me $1100.

Got a new one earlier this year from my current dentis, was $281.

How is a customer to know?

One time I went to the dentist and after cleaning my teeth he asked me what insurance I had and after I told him he said "well you might want to get such and such tooth filled because you could have a cavity there in the future" so I could see how it would be easy for them to do.

TigerH - you don't have many choices if you want this to stop. Talking to him and you lose your job one way or the other, OR he agrees and stops (0%chance). Not talking to him and ignoring it will resolve nothing, and since you posted this I assume you are seeking a resolution. Quitting doesn't fix the problem. Reporting him will cause huge ramifications for everyone. You are in a corner and the only logical thing to do is report him. BUT, you have to have proof, not just an opinion, which I assume you can get.

We charge $700 for them... consider yourself lucky... and nightguard are very useful...

A patient wouldn't know unless they get a second opinion.

If you notice it and allow it to continue at what point do you consider yourself an accomplice?
