This.
1. Not buying anything other than the "goodwill" (ie, patient records ie, the patients ie, the doctors recommendation that all patients transfer to the new doctor ie, my friend)

2. Yes - it is "HIPPAA" (thank you acronym natzis)(BTWGFY)

3. Attorneys are on the way.... this all just started happening
I have a friend trying to purchase a dental practice from another dentist who is filing for bankruptcy. He has overextended himself and is within days of "folding" and there are a number of liens against his "practice". My friend want to purchase the "goodwill" and have access to patient records. My question is this:

Wouldn't it be some sort of HIPPA violation to include patient records in a UCC lien or filing? If so - are there any ways around that?

TIA.

(PS - my friend would also like to have access to his website and phone number for obvious transference purposes - what about that stuff?)

1. Username, with a link to the user's public profile page ...this is important!
genuineLSUtiger

2. Estimated length of suspension
2 weeks give or take a few days

3. Is this their first suspension?
Not by a long shot

4. What they did to get suspended? (please be specific and factual)
He made an untimely and inappropriate comment regarding the passing of Kobe Bryant. He is very remorseful and acknowledges the inflammatory and insensitive nature of his remarks.

5. Have they been previously suspended for the reason indicated in No. 4?
No

6. A pledge not to break any rule in the future
He has vowed never to flame other posters again. I personally heard him say it.

7. Lavish praise for the admin team (limited to three sentences)
Thanks to the ingenious and creative minds behind td.com thousands of people have been brought together in this remarkable forum... it is literally the fb of college sports. What more needs to be said.
May we post pics to the admin? Would that be useful?

Because they keep you alive and that is pretty important.
OMG... You guys are amazing. If nothing else yall have eased my pain.... I just hate to see him struggle. He spent a semester in China on study abroad and he feels so behind - he thinks "life is passing him by". I keep telling him to dig in and stick it out... but the farther along he gets - the harder it is - the less he listens to my pep talks.... I am going to tell him to read this thread - you all have been very encouraging. Thanks so much....

PS... for those of you who think I should just tell him to "man up"... well I'm sorry you had such shitty parents. :doublebird:
I need some advice....

I have a son who attends NC State University in Raleigh. He is a junior majoring in electrical engineering. He has already received a minor in math and Mandarin Chinese.

Yesterday he calls me and tells me he doesnt think he can do it anymore. He was under such distress it is breaking my heart and I just dont know how to support him. He says he is in the highest level engineering classes and that it is impossibly hard. His biggest concern is that he worries the work he is doing now is what he is going to be doing the rest of his life.

Can someone please tell me what electrical engineers really do for a living and is he going to be limited to working in a cubical doing impossibly difficult math for the rest of his life. I just dont know what to tell him. My instinct wants to tell him to stick it out... but I dont want to be responsible for encouraging him into a career he hates. Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

PS. He loves computer engineering but NCSU will NOT let him switch programs. :wah:
