Btw your both fricking wrong Baby Boomers were born of the baby boom following G.I.’s returning home from WWII & laying pipe non-stop for the next couple of years, think 1945-1950.
Think again, YOU’RE wrong.

The accepted birth years of the Baby Boom generation always start in 1946 (VE Day was in May of ‘45) and the terminal birth year is generally accepted as somewhere from 1961 to 1964.

My four siblings & I go from ‘49-‘61

The best part about Archie Bunker is he was written by fart sniffing soy boys designed to make people laugh at and make fun of him and his beliefs. But Archie Bunker became one of the most acclaimed characters in TV history.

Imagine the outcry from all the snowflakes, SJW's and PC police if this show was on today.

Archie Bunker was a bigot. There's a difference.

For me it's Ron Swanson. And the writers of Parks and Rec. had pretty much the same reaction to him as to Archie Bunker, they were disturbed that people liked him so much, and they neutered him somewhat as the show went on.

I was born in 1961. WTF do I have in common with someone born in 1946?

Accepted by dumbasses.

There is a seismic shift between the group of people who were 15-25 during the late 60’s and the group that was 15-24 in the late 1970’s.

Group A were the hippies, free love, Woodstock, Vietnam War era, civil rights era, protestors, with high opinions of themselves and the changes they brought. Group mentality. Entitled. Movies: Easy Rider, What’s New Pussycat, In the Heat Of the Night, The Graduate

Group B lived through the hangover of the “after period”, the post war period, the urban blight, the Nixon Watergate and Carter years, the spike in crime, with a survivalist independent mentality. Movies: Taxi Driver, Rocky, China Town, The French Connection.

There was one episode where Gloria was hanging out with her girl friends two of which were from Dallas.

One of them told Archie that their dad would think HE is a communist because he lives in New York.

Which is really kind of funny considering that was the entire basis of All in the Family...the younger generation being disgusted by the olds and vice versa. Meathead is the new Archie and the young SJWs are the new Meathead.

That show was just incredible, not only for its humor but for its cultural significance.
