Are you discussing the Bronco Sport or the full size Bronco?

A full sized Bronco hasn't been produced since 1996. The current 'larger' Bronco is classified as a mid-sized SUV.

F-100 I believe. At least, my 1980 is on an F-100 frame and all the parts match

Yeah, I almost said F-100. That's really a naming thing as far as body and packaging go. The F-150 at the time was largely the same truck but with a higher GVWR. It was not a HD like the F-250/350, but could handle a bit more.

The F-100 name dropped away in the early 80's and most people today would think it's a typo.

Idk what the hell GM is doing not bringing back the blazer when the off road segment is ripe like this. I think they botched their chance twice actually. They brought back the blazer as a soulless crossover. Ok fine whatever, the blazer morphed into a family SUV in the late 80s. They still had the chance to do the TrailBlazer right but they also made that a generic car based SUV.

To their credit, GM owns the full sized SUV market with about 60%+ market share. They aren't going to introduce a smaller model that could cannibalize sales from their Tahoe Z71 and Yukon AT4 models. They are no Bronco Sasquach, but they are surprisingly solid off roaders when properly equipped despite their size.

The new Hummer EV's look awesome too, but they are about twice the price of a typical Wrangler. And EV buyers would never consider an ICE Tahoe Z71 or Yukon AT4 anyways. So there's no danger of these stealing sales from existing GMC/Chevy products.

That being said....an off road SUV based on the Colorado/Canyon pickup chassis would be pretty cool. It would probably sell well, even if it stole sales from the Tahoe and Yukon. Toyota keeps selling a boat load of 4Runners every year despite the model being ancient. I'm sure GM and Ford are seeing that and wondering how they can tap into that somehow without completely pissing off the EPA or threaten the popularity of their existing products.

Same for Wranglers.

Can't tell you the last time I saw a dude driving one.

That being said, I hate V6 engines. I have a 2021 F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. It’s a beast, 400HP, 500lb. ft. Torque. I can’t explain why I don’t like it.
Wife has a Wagoneer with the 5.7 hemi. It’s slower but that V8 feel makes it seem stronger.

I'm with you. On paper, there's no category that the V6s aren't better in. In real life, I just don't like them. V6s just have a certain feel and sound that just turns me off. I6s and I4s don't bother me. It also doesn't help that

Ford pipes in the V8 sounds through the radio on the higher trims. LINK

Plus in your case, there's no better sounding stock engine than the Hemis.

i didn't agree with hardly anything. he posted a picture of a soccer mom suv and called it the new bronco. simply not close. driven by girls and calling it a lady vehicle are very different. I've seen lots of dudes driving broncos as well. Both 4 dr and 2 dr larger broncos are good looking vehicles.

I thought they might put the 5.0L V8 in the Bronco, but they screwed up that engine in the F-150 last year too. It now has an even more crude cylinder deactivation system that Ram, GMC, and Honda use. And it has the same issues that took those other companies years to sort out.

Might be okay if you delete all that crap from it, but I'm sure you void your warranty. And that's something I'd want to keep around if I had a Ford.

That pretty obviously wasn't a media pic I posted. Plenty of people are taking their Broncos off road.

Not that it even matters for the purpose of that post. The Bronco is not a Rav4 competitor.

I would bet that more people with 2wd F-150s take their vehicles off pavement more frequently than most Bronco owners.

It's a suburban chick car. Most of them are the low end models without the locking diffs. They barely even see gravel parking lots.

And? Most people don't take their mall crawling Jeeps and TRD Pros off road either. That has noting to do with the discussion.

Every Escape but the first gen looks stupid. And I think they keep shrinking them.

Why does that matter? It’s not like it is a feminine car (e.g Beetle/Miata). That’s like saying chicks use toothbrushes therefore it’s a turn off.

The OP literally said that he doesn’t like it because it’s a chick car. And he’s right.

So it has everything to do with the discussion.
