We've got an outside cat named tarter sauce and not one of our dogs will frick with that bitch. Wouldn't deal with a cat indoors though.

Or, if the people that spayed it didn't get all the reproductive crap out and if female it goes into false heat and drives your family nuts.

Our female was a rescue from the SPCA and was spayed WAY too early. She went into false heats for about 3 years and during that time would piss all over the house and meow like she was on crack.

The wife left the closet door open one morning when getting dressed for work. The cat got in the closet and pissed all over 4 pairs of shoes-----MY SHOES. Had to throw them out they stunk so bad.

I threw the cat out the house for days after that and don't till this day know why I let her live past that event.

A couple of scratching posts solves that.

Nah, cats are actually pretty cool.

Kinda nice when you are sitting there watching a movie and the little guy curls up next to you and starts purring while you let him

You need to give him some money to finish his sleeve.

I love my tabby cat. We have her because my wife picked her out at the humane society. We have the dog because I picked him out at the humane society.

The cat prefers me. The dog prefers my wife, but he does now roll over and give me his belly when I walk in the room.

I’ve read the average cat will kill 350 birds in its life. It’s why the songbird population is plummeting because there are so many cats. I know my cat would wear out fledging trying to learn how to fly!

So here’s the deal

You will love that kitten from now to the next 6 months. After that you will either never see it again or only see it when it’s pissed off wanting something.

So yes, you are a lesser man. But it’s not your fault, you didn’t know any better.

A dog will love you until it’s joints no longer work because of the arthritis, but still sadly attempt to love you. Cats are way easier to take care of, but dogs legitimately love you. Examine the reasons you have a pet. Is it to have a friend or some loner that sleeps in the closet all day.

I’m definitely a dog person but my little girls found a stray cat on Christmas Day and they wore me down. I’ll say this, when that sucker goes into stalker hunting mode it pretty fascinating to watch. I don’t hate it.

But as a response to my previous post, having a cat or two isn’t bad just for the fact of killing shite around the house you don’t want there. But just keep them outside and feed them. Otherwise they suck after becoming 1 year old

I’ll let the dirty arse dog sleep in the bed with me

we had a stray cat that came to our house and like the OP I wasn’t a cat person but I took a liking to this one. Anyway we left it outside but one winter we had some really cold nights, so I brought it in and also brought a litter box. I came home from work and had nice pile of cat shite in my bed

Welcome to the club. They’re low maintenance and give a lot of affection, despite their stereotype. Good luck with that leather couch though.

I'm not even going to go through typing my entire cat reason list on here but cats are awesome once they trust you, very low maintenance, etc.

Great pets.
