I got pulled over by a trooper last month and as he was approaching my truck I immediately held up my sign that says, "I don't answer questions and it's within my right not to show ID." He laughed, stepped back, and spit chewing tobacco juice on my hood and then said, "how about I bust this window and skull drag you across the fricking parking lot?" I rolled down my window and got a ticket for 83 in a 55.

don't see why that's hard to do, really don't see the need to carry proof given that you have to provide proof to register and inspect the vehicle and it's all entered into the computer system

Insurance is linked through the DMV. When you go to the DMV and you don't have proof of insurance, they already know if your insurance is up to date or not. Same with the police, they know via the database whether or not you have insurance. They can cite for not having PROOF but a judge will drop that once you go to court with proof.

systems crash and are unavailable

sometimes systems aren't updated with your current information. Say you switched from GEICO to State Farm, if the human inputting the data never updated you from GEICO it will say cancelled.

Or if you missed a payment and GEICO dropped you but you now have GoAuto.

Reasons like that. It's really just to avoid the headache on your part if you fell into one of those categories and are now watching your car being towed or at the minimum your license plate being seized, bc of a computer error.

Wife had to report identity theft and when the cop came to the house I was fearful for my 10 pound small breed dog's life.

I put the gate up to his indoor room but I was fearful if he got over the gate for the first time ever it would be his last time ever to get over the gate. didn't want to hold him because he has gotten out of my arms 1 time before.

If you don't have insurance, it's reported to the DMV or whatever it's called in your state. They run a tag check and know.

My V1 picks up laser every time my jammer does . The only way it wouldn't is if the gun was close to your car

The way to jam laser is to go get the BIG checkbook. It doesn't pay for itself unless you are getting lots of tickets. Mine has paid for itself probably 1.5x already

The law was from before the computers existed to look it up. If the computer systems go down, then it's a backup. Also, you still need it if you get into a fender bender that doesn't require the police to get involved so you can trade insurance information and know the other guy isn't giving you false info.

I got pulled over 2 weeks ago and state trooper didn't even ask for insurance or registration. I found that kind of odd.

Next time, let's try a little experiment.

Run right at them, while putting your hand in your pocket and yelling, "I'm going to shoot you, you c%$@ sucker!".

Just a little experiment to test the limits of white privelege...

They would have given him a bigger ticket. They might even handcuffed him for a minute if he did that.

It must a new laser they are using now, mine usually picks it up too but it usually too late if they shoot it at you. The only way I've been able to not get caught by laser is when they shoot the car in front of me and i pick it up and slow down real quick before he shoots me.

For some reason it didn't work this morning unless I had it turned down which is also a good possibility.

I believe they came out with one new laser gun last year. Those things are expensive and the calibration machine is expensive, so they don't buy them that often.

You're correct though, if the V1 is making noise, they've got you

LOL, that's what happens when you let the law dictate step by step what happens in a traffic stop. Now, if you had started changing the rules and doing whatever the frick you wanted during that stop, you'd have been stop by all three of them. Follow instructions and let the guy with the gun decide when the situation is calm.

I was pulled over once for speeding. Cop wanted my insurance. I said it's in the glove box next to my 9mm. He said..."ok, go get it". I reached in there while he shined his light on my hand and I gave him the insurance and all was good. I didn't die-
