In 6 months, they will know all of your inside information. After that, watch your back.

Congratulations. Great to turn it around in a month. I was on the hunt for 6 months.

Without question. I've had two jobs since, and the experience, connections, and pay increases made being laid off a blessing in disguise.

Thanks for letting your old boss know he can now enforce his non-compete

How are you sure he had to sign a non-compete? Not every job function requires that.

Maybe this time ask the appropriate questions before you start..

Mr. Lippman:
It's come to my attention that you and the cleaning woman have engaged in sexual intercourse on the desk in your office. Is that correct?

George Costanza:
Who said that?

Mr. Lippman:
She did.

George Costanza:
[pause] Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon... you know, cause I've worked in a lot of offices, and I tell you, people do that all the time.

I need to buy into this reality. I hate being retired but don't want to get in the way of younger up and comers. Not fair to them or me. I don't think I have the stamina for 60+hrs a week again.

Very happy that worked out for you. I remember the original post that generated some prayers on Mrs M and my end. Congratulations.
