I have to disagree. They do compare. Both Zero and Payday are not in the same league as the top selling Snickers, Baby Ruth, or Milky Way bars. They were never marketed in the same way, and are what many would consider lesser known candy bars.
Nevertheless, they are both unlike anything else on the market, and are two of my favorites. I'd take them any day over the top sellers.

Zero is a dang fine candy bar! Do you like a Snickers, do you like a Three Musketeers? A Zero candy bar and an RC cola is one of my favorite snacks. Throw one in the fridge and eat it and get back with me. Diabeetus baw.

The last Zero bar I ate was as a very young child almost 50 years ago on a ferry going out to Cat Island or somewhere similar. A man on the ferry had a heart attack and I have forever associated the Zero bar with the faded memory of a man collapsing and receiving first aid. I have no idea whether he survived.

It's put there strategically to make people think they are given more choices than they really are. You see the Zero bar and suddenly the Snickers right next to it looks extremely appealing.

you perfectly captured my feeling about this candy bar. Although the plant I work at gave them out to promote a "Zero Incident Mindset". I ate it bc it was placed on my desk. Probably the only one ive ever had
