My female boss (single, 8.5-9.0 on the lichter, no pic) had once let it slip that as a kid her house had been infested with the little frickers, and now her resultant phobia. So not much later in an incomparable career move, I settled a few fake frickers on her chair seat and slid it back under her desk. Yes she instantly knew it was me. Yes she hollared "you little bastard" across the office. No, I never got any.

A few of the female church members were asked to go help clean a lady's apartment. She had been sick. Omygosh! every cabinet we opened 50 of those roaches would scurry and jump on us. They were even on every drape and curtain in the place. We eventually got the apartment cleaned and luckily had a pest control person in our church. He went and sprayed the apartment for free. Have not heard since about the scene since, but I still get chills thinking about that day. Ewww!

Cockroaches will inherit the earth.

And they're hard to get rid of, if your home has an infestation

roaches turn me into a little bitch
In Houston those giant two inch tree roaches are literally everywhere. Even in clean homes. As it happens I was walking the dog one last time before bed this week. I came in took the leash off, and was putting it in the drawer. I feel something in my hair. I had been bending over to undo leash and thought it was a string tie on my blouse. So I stood up to straighten my blouse and as my brain registered both ties were in already place I feel it fall down into the back of my blouse. I was in my underwear in my entry in about 2 seconds. Got the little fricker tho.

Had one fall on the back of my neck once. Knew exactly what it was without seeing it.
You never forget the feeling of a roach crawling on you.

With not that much effort you can get rid of most of them.

Patiently awaiting Kafka’s take on cockroaches.

Fifteen years ago, my parents house had them bad. I must have had a few come home with me. I never had them past the kitchen countertop. I tried several products. It's been so long ago, but the product was in a squeeze tube. It was great bait. It took me six months to find something that worked. The roach eats the bait. When he's dead, his buddies eat him. It worked great.
I always thought we were going to have company over and be embarrassed by a crawler.
Orkin had to take care of my parents place.
In 2022, I remodeled that kitchen down to the studs. I thought that the stud cavities would be full of dead carcasses and shite. No evidence at least to my eyes and certainly no carcasses. I just wondered where the hell they went.

Same.
Funny enough, I saw the first roast ever today in this house, which we bought in 2022. We had an uncovered outlet waiting to get changed due to it being a non standard plate size, and the sucker came out of it!

Spray bottle full of isopropyl alcohol is DEATH to roaches. With a good Zep spray bottle you can hit em 10’ away. Alcohol leaves no residue after it evaporates.

You know that you have a roach problem when you have to store opened food in the microwave instead of in the pantry.

2 stories. We had renters for a couple of years in one of our houses. When they left, hundreds of roaches. I took 5 or 6 cans of fogger and put 2 in attic and 4 downstaiers, set them off and came back the next day. Hundreds on the floor. But many were lined up all through the house about 3 inches from the ceiling on the walls. I guess they sensed where the fog was the weakest. Had to spray the entire line with them falling on me.
House we lived in had no problems with them. Got a dump truck of mulch and I don't remember if it was a drought or a heavy rain. But obviously, they all hatched from that mulch at the same time and came in doors. Had they coming out of vents, everywhere. First time I ever heard my ex cuss is when one fell on her when she was asleep. Called the Orkin man at 8;01 and told him I'd add 50$ to his fee if he made us the first stop. He did and recommeded a comeback in 2? weeks. Which he did, and it was back to normal.

I pull her old detector off and there had to have been 100s of little roaches running around inside
I had a small roach problem awhile back, had to call the bug sprayer to come out. Long story short, evidently there was some dog food in the corner of the dining room and I still see one every once in awhile and I hate that shite man.. So i was thinking "damn, I lived with roaches" but I see. Yeah it wasn't no where on this level. 100s? That's insane,
