I don't think I would want to win $1.5 billion all by myself.

(And yes, I bought a few tickets.)
First of all, despite all of your efforts to maintain anonymity, the media would hunt you down and expose your identity. There would be no hiding. Unlike people who win 50 or 100 million, you will be a celebrity. Your every move will be watched.
Also, unlike smaller pot winners, you will be expected to share it with everybody you ever met. You'll be generous with your closest friends and family, and you'll give a ton to charity. But every acquaintance, every distant cousin Billy Bob, will be coming and telling you about their problems and asking for money. Oh, you'll go underground and change your numbers, and try to hide from them, but who wants to live like that?
I think it would be much better to win this kind of money as part of a big group, so you can slink into the background.
I don't know, man. Somebody's world is about to be turned upside down. And not all in a good way.

I'd like to try dealing with it.

"It's too much! People won't bother me if I only won 100 million."

No one besides the people that would have cared you won a $50 mil jackpot will care about this one.
No random people will stop you on the street to ask you for money. You aren't going to remember who won this thing a week after they announce it, unless you already knew them personally.
This jackpot has people talking crazy.

If the powers that be decide to curse me with 1.5B, I'll let you know how miserable I am... from my island, during my break from hookers and blow.

If someone wins it. Imagine if we have no winner again.

It's actually pretty easy.
Retain attorney. Let attorney make public statement that he is representing the winner, and that you will claim the prize at a later time. He can front you all the money in the world to do whatever you want for a few months. Claim prize later after things have calmed down.
Hell, there will probably be another huge jackpot between now and when you claim it. You'll be old news once your name goes public.

you form a LLC and there's no way anyone finds out who you are. Your attorney that sets up the LLC does the speaking to the media on behalf of the newly formed company. You make no big purchases for a solid year and you're good to go.

If I were to win, I'd start a daily thread documenting just how horrible my day is to make you all feel better about not winning. I mean I'll have my personal hired tiger droppings "stenographer" type it out after I dictate the post to her while on my private yacht and such, but I think you all get the point. I think it would be very good to document the pain and suffering

Or just accept the money and grow a pair of balls and tell people to frick off.
Change your cell phone number.
Get off social media.
It's really not that big of a deal.
The people with their hands out are most likely the same people who talk shite about you and never cared about you until you won.
You know who your true friends are. At least I do.
