I love being near the ocean but I’m not really a beach person. I’d rather be on at a beachside bar or restaurant or on a boat listening to some Yacht Rock.

Love a good ski trip but a clear day swimming to the sand bar at the beach is tough to beat for me

If you live 8 miles away, the nightly sunset on the gulf, with a drink in hand, is pretty awesome.

No doubt. Most adults appreciate all types of vacations and welcome a variety. The kids almost always buy into the same philosophy.
If you take the family to the beach one year, you probably look for something different the next. We're the normal ones.

The OP is retarded or trolling.

Beaches are for boring obese people who can't physically do more than waddle to a beach chair and have a drink. sad.

Enjoy your freezing weather. Your obese self must be thankful for the cold. We kayak, paddleboard, etc. All while enjoying the sun and waves. Enjoy your frigid life (wife?

Mountain trails are for vapid 'intellectuals' who fill voids left by their shitty parents by hiking 6 miles up trails to look over a majestic landscape in a contrived moment of introspect. You leave feeling just as empty as before.
Then you drive back to your urban apartment in Boulder or Salt Lake City and eat sushi with chop sticks to "embrace the adversity".
All you really needed to prevent this miserable existence was a hug when you were 12.
Go call your mom and dad. This thread is stupid and embarrassing for you.

Different strokes for different folks - I'm more of a camping/outdoors guy myself, especially in the mountains. Give me a weekend camp in Colorado/Wyoming/Montana over the littered beaches anytime, but I do see the appeal of it.
