I don't hate the beach. I just wouldn't choose to go spend 4-5 days on vacation there if it were my choice. I really enjoy it for about 5 hrs

I hate the beach. The sand everywhere drives me crazy. It gets in everything. It’s glitter Of the outdoors world. I’ll go to a pool but frick the beach. I’ll drink by the pool Where I can find some shade where I’m not dehydrating within 20 min and dying of a headache.

He has to just mean the kid got carsick. Hell, much of the Great Plains states are at a higher actual altitude than any mountain areas where you would stay in Tennessee.

I look forward to visiting a nice beach halfway through our shitty winters.
Normally I visit Hawaii but frick them right now. So, here I come Florida.
It's easier to appreciate when your over 3k miles away from the closest nice beach.
I've got mountains in my life the rest of the time.
I went up to Rainier NP yesterday for some snowshoeing. Great weather and a bad arse day.

You'll find it appeals to poors mostly, which is the majority of this board.

I'm going out on a limb and assuming you like the Rocky Mountains?
Is that accurate?

As for car sickness - I wouldn’t call it car sickness bc we had already been in the car for two days. So I would’ve thought the queasy feeling would’ve came on earlier, and we’ve taken many car trips.
My mom got sick in the ‘mountains’ of El Paso when I was a kid

I guess it’s because we are from below sea level

I agree OP.
To each his own, but I would rather do pretty much anything else.
I can lay around and do nothing at my house any time I want, for free.

I think the actual elevation there can be pretty legit.
I’ve honestly never heard of anyone having altitude issues in Tennessee.

So the non poor people can go to beaches and mountains.
I like both
I agree. I enjoy scuba diving and skiing. It just depends on the mood for a particular vacation. I love them both.

Yes, mountain ranges out west.
Don't really consider most of the Appalachians mountains

He started barfing in Maggie Valley - and clingman’s dome is only about 500’ lower than the mountains in El Paso
Clingman’s dome is NC - not really sure if the state makes a difference

Think it straddles the line between the two. That’s wild, though.

Mountains trump Beach.
Mountain views, low humidity, hiking, camping.
Beach is boring and disgusting.
My family loves both types of vacations equally. Last Summer We drove 3k miles from Vegas to Yellowstone to Rushmore to Denver stopping at all the national parks along the way.
We also appreciate a Destin beach vacation where we do nothing but lounge on the beach, wade in the Gulf, and eat unhealthy tasty food all day long.
Someone put sand in your vag as a kid.
