I am not sure if this is really allowed here, or not, but I am really just trying to help a friend in need.

This is Lander a 5 year old boy battling cancer. His father I grew up with less than 3 houses down from me. His mother I went to school with, and she has cut my hair for years now. She recently had to quit her job because they were just hit by this terrible news. With constantly being in the hospital through the surgery to remove a melon sized stage 3 tumor from this precious little boy. They recently were told that even though it was a stage 3 tumor that because there is some in his lungs/lymph nodes it is considered stage 4.

I was not asked to do this, but I felt compelled to help in anyway I can. Along with the emotional struggles of dealing with this I know comes an intense financial burden. I am sure they wouldn't feel comfortable asking for something like this themselves. So I am. If any of you can help this wonderful family either with prayer, or donations, or both please do. This precious boy is in the fight of, and for, his life. I can't possibly imagine the pain they are experiencing right now. Please if you can help. I am just asking for this little boys sake for any help I can get.

I know we all bicker, and fight with eachother here. I also know there are good hearted people on this site. Sometimes something's are just bigger than ourselves. Thank you guys, and God bless.

Poor little boy. That’s got to be so hard to handle.

can't fathom what they're going through, and I pray that I never have to. I know that I'm not strong enough to handle something like this.

If you guys can share this on FB or any social media it would be appreciated. I have given all of the GoFundMe login info over to the child's mother. Like I said I wasn't asked to do this. She said that she probably couldn't have done this on her own, but she is grateful for me trying.

Glad to help.
I suggest posting his picture on the gofundme. Or maybe I missed it.

I had it on the cover photo.

The biggest issue is it wants to only use pictures from Facebook. It wants to use MY pictures. It wont let me link to theirs so that is why I gave the info over to them in Hope's they could get that done.

I don’t normally donate to strangers but this one hit me in the heart. I have a 5 year old and a 4 year old and a 2 year old and one of them is cutting onions right now.

It isn’t much as I’m not an OT baller but I hope it encourages others to donate too. Good luck and prayers are coming too.

Edit: Nice to see some fellow Ot’ers in there.

You done good. Similar requests have been posted here in the past, and I think with good results. I remember one alum who donated his kidney to his little girl last year. Keep this on the first page. I'm in.

I donated to this request when this was posted a few months ago, and I just saw a refund on my card that came a few days ago from this donation. Any idea why?

As to why you were credited your donation:
“ If a campaign organizer does not withdraw their funds within 90 days of their first donation, their donations will be automatically refunded in full back to donors. Donors will receive the credit on the card that was used to make the donation within 3-7 business days.”
Very generous of you, however. I hope the little kid and family are doing better.

just received the same email. I immediately thought it was a case of OP being shady, but it sounds like that's not the case. I guess he set it and forgot to withdraw the funds?
