Most adults shouldn't run a fever for regular cold.... unless it’s flu, covid, strep, pneumonia, or bad tonsillitis or lingering sinus infection in my experience...he hasn’t said his symptoms so not sure

TLDR - online ochsner is pointless

Tele is good if you know what is wrong and just need a prescription. If you need a doc to be a doc, they are useless.

I know that smartass , but do all clinics and dr's offices participate?

If it’s for something that doesn’t appear serious you can call you insurance company, they may have a contract with a company for telehealth services. I know it’s offered in my plan (through BCBS).

Everybody pretty much sucks at their jobs nowadays. It's been a while (probably years) since I've paid for any kind of service and thought, "wow, they did a really great job!"

It's more like, "well, I could probably have done a lot better myself, but I just don't have the time / tools / credentials." Notice I didn't even put "training" or "expertise" in there, because nobody has any anymore.

Doctors, accountants, mechanics... they all just fricking suck now. Idiocracy came hundreds of years early.

No.

I offered it for a few patients initially for routine things like follow up on results.

But most everything for me relies on exam in holes I can't see on a screen, so I don't really offer it regularly unless the patient asks for it.
