When I was younger, my dad lived in New Jersey. One year in the late 90s around March we went through a monster Nor’eastern that dropped 56 inches of snow. For someone from Louisiana, it was crazy too me.

That’s incredible. Things get crazy around here if we have 2 inches of snow.

Buffalo, NY usually has a lot of snow. PITA to deal with every year.

I find it funny that people clamoring to have "four seasons" again most likely don't have to deal with any of the manual labor that comes with it like the raking of leaves or shoveling snow.

That looks GLORIOUS. For about 3.50 days, then I'd be over it.

That's going to suck when it starts melting. That was my least favorite part about snow when I was at Ft Campbell.

I was stationed at Fort Drum, NY for 3 years. It was a regular thing to have a 40-45 inch base of snow outside our barracks during most of February. The first snow fall usually happened in October and wouldn’t all completely melt until March. They say it averages 150-200 inches of snow a year. And the regular snowfall was at least 12 inches per storm. The first January I was there we had 77 inches of snow in the month and 23 days where it never got above freezing.

I remember one day it started snowing around midnight and by 3 the next afternoon we had something like 36 inches fall. It was coming down at 2-3 inches per hour.

I’m glad I left that place. The Army was nice enough to move me from Fort Drum, NY to Panama City, Panama in February. I went from 25 degrees to almost 90 and 150% humidity.

Some of my favorite times growing up, was when we would get over 40 inch blizzards. Most businesses shut down so you get to stay home, drink and enjoy the beautiful snow. I still love going outside and playing in it with my kids.
