I listen to yacht rock songs from my childhood in the 70’s all of the time. It’s therapy for the soul.

Not a big fan of yacht rock either.
Isn’t yacht rock just classic rock like doobie brothers?

Listen to the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band.
Simple music and lyrics to remind you that life isn’t complicated.

Soft rock will mellow you out. I miss the 70's and 80's.

Agree. Not my favorite genre but I like it occasionally.

This time of year, my station never changes from the Fantasy Football talk on SiriusXM. Need to know what all those clowns are saying so I can do the opposite and win my leagues again.

I have a huge range of bluesy country songs, ranging from Cowboy Junkies, Trigger Gospel, Merle, Red Clay Strays, Tyler Childers, The Eagles, or the likes.
I like to plug into YouTube Music app, with my bass and play whatever comes up on auto play. You let it go long enough, you might even get some Clapton, JJ Cale or Kentucky Headhunters.

Indeed.

It's basically Peter Paul & Mary folk music with a rhythm section. It's for people who want to live the rock lifestyle, party/consume drugs/frick like rock stars, but without listening to actual rock music.

Soft rock makes me want to commit unspeakable acts of violence before offing myself. It's often just so emotionally muted, dull, and lifeless. I prefer music that is more assertive and commands my attention
It's like boat rock. Calling that shite rock is ridiculous. The same bar (The Dark Horse, ATL) that hosted heavy metal karaoke every weekend also had a boat rock night and it was always packed. Suckers for shitty music.
