The hospital employee's comments were probably inappropriate

I don't feel they were inappropriate, but you have to know your audience. People who equate "grown up problems" with kids being kids can't be reasoned with. They probably feel they are raising their daughter to be cautious, but more than likely are giving her every reason to hate men for the rest of her life.

Do we even remember what inappropriate means anymore?

I do not think anyone is excusing the boy's actions, but it is pretty common for young kids to act out physically because they cannot comprehend or express their emotions.

I.E. hitting a girl they think is cute...

Lewts get the root of the problem as find out why the kid was punched in the face in the first place.

If I had to guess, the little girl probably was running her mouth like her mamma apparently likes to do.

Or she was just being bullied because of the sexual orientation of her dadmom

Does her shirt in that pic say "cutie"? I am outraged! How dare this mother convey to her daughter that her physical appearance should be the first thing people consider when they look at her. This is NOT ok and I will NOT sit here and allow this type of superficial parenting to go unnoticed.

Here's a thought... If you encounter someone who says something you don't agree with, instead of going on social media with a fake assed, attention seeking, passive-aggressive "letter" to that person you know they'll never see, just tell them your thoughts to their face right then and there.

Responding to the comments she received on her post, Merritt explained that she didn't want to attack the hospital or get the man fired, saying he 'genuinely didn't mean any harm'.
She said: 'The hospital responded to my email. They thanked me for my feedback, acknowledged they had never thought of that situation in that light and consider it food for thought.'

Well, in her defense, it's more of a "look at me moment" than her trying to destroy someone's life.

But then where will I get my attention from?

Poor baby.

The cut will heal but she'll need therapy the rest of her life for being raised by those weidos.

I think the blonde with the huge forehead, but I'm not confident in my answer.

The little boy probably hit her, but the hit is not what caused the damage to her face. They are withholding something. Most likely that the boy hit her and caused her to fall. An accident, and the boy needs to be corrected so that he knows not to playfully hit girls, but an accident non the less.

Kids get banged up, bruised, cuts, scrapes, ect. Their little bodies are pretty resilient. Making a big deal out of this is not doing anyone any favors.

I could care less about the facebook crap going on here, more interested in who hit her.

There is no 4 year old on this planet that could have inflicted that damage with their fist. Either someone much older hit her, like her parents who are making a big deal out of all of this so no one looks at them, or the little girl is lying about how she got that cut. She either fell and hit it on something or got hit by a bat or something.

Not sure if has been said, but what about girls flirting with boys at that age. Pulling hair, breaking Legos, kicking in the shin, scratching, etc. It's not like girls can just magically communicate affection when they are born and never behave in the same way. Sure, at a certain age the average girl has grown out of it while the average boy has not but to put all of this on boys is a little ridiculous.
