Sports is a passionate pastime in this state and a big one for me, but LSU and the Saints keep letting me down and choking in big moments. The Saints, in particular, is rough because I thought this was the year that Drew maybe had one more left in him. I know that was likely his best and last chance to make a serious run. It was all ended by one failed tackle. That is on Williams.

The fans in this state are the best and most passionate around, but we need a reason to celebrate again. It's been almost 10 years since a team won anything of significance.

ETA - damn autocorrect

The University of Louisiana didn't let anybody down this season.

Maybe it's time you followed louisiana's true flagship university?

We were pretty spoiled in the 90s in baseball and the 00s with football, with a final 4 sprinkled in

It's not related to just the Saints in particular, and this is a Tigerdroppings subforum.

Saints will be contenders next year. Brees has at least 2 more years in him.

LSU Football however.......
I truly believe we are going into a state of mediocrity. We can recruit the best talent all day but we can't hire the right coaches. I'm hoping for Aranda to be HC within 2 years and a young, proven OC.

Do you MAGA, Baw?

Captain Clay Higgins and GE Trump win everyday. Get on the train.

Stop worrying so much about something you have little control over

Drew Brees is 68 years old. I feel so bad when I see them wheeling him onto the field

There are 32 nfl teams. If every team won a SB and not a single team managed win more than one SB then it would take 32 YEARS for each team to get a trophy. Factor in teams like NE, Steelers, packers, Cowboys winning multiple SBs then your time frame extends to many more years.

It's insanely hard to win a Lombardi.

Alleva hears you and will return football to the early 90's when chokes didn't really matter.

That's pretty recent.

I think everyone got spoiled by the 2000s and forgets how hard it is to win it all.

I feel ya, OP. Sports is becoming a bummer. Chronic last minute gaffes and then Bama in an unprecedented dynasty. Sucks dick.

Was coming here to post this.

Losing on a last second td in the 2nd round of the playoffs > blowing a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl

As well as losing to a true freshmen qb after dominating the game in OT
