There why is there story after story after story of this trash breed attacking people and other animals?
Is there a conspiracy to falsely label these dogs as dangerous or could it just be that people’s opinions are actually based on the actions of the breed itself?

UPDATE:
OK a few years ago I was at a conference for work and ran into a guy i know who lived on the other side of town from me. I had just given the dog away (to a great family) and as i'm telling him the story about having to give him away etc. and he pulls out his phone and shows me a picture of my (former) dog. I was confused and asked him how he got the pic and it turns out his next door neighbor is the family i gave it away to. It was a pretty cool coincidence so i usually ask him how the dog is doing when i seen him. In the meantime I took my kid out to go see the dog just for a visit. We took him for a walk and hung out for a bit and the dog has it pretty good - nice family, good neighborhood, their kid has moved on to college so they treat their dogs like their kids etc. Never made it out for another trip b/c its kindof a haul even though my daughter asks every now and then if we can go.
Fast forward to a couple of days ago - i ran into the same guy at the same conference; i hadn't seen him in a while b/c of covid so we're catching up and i ask him about the dog. He says the dog is like a special needs dog and acts retarded all the time - weird things like he won't walk on hardwoods so they have carpet squares in the house so he can walk around. Said that if you didn't know the dog you'd be real scared of him because he's always growling and barking at people when they walk by his neighbors house (but he's such a sweet dog). THEN he says last week he bit the wife on the nose and the husband had to go to the hospital a couple of months ago to get stitches because the dog snipped at him and cut his forehead.
TL;DR - breed of peace turned out to be a little snippy; glad we gave him away. Prayers to the family that took him in.

I have a Boxer/Lab mix. He’s a pit too. Though I got mine from a Mexican in a Walmart parking lot. I made up the Boxer/Lab part myself.

Really sounds like something neurological. It would be weird if the dog started doing that out of the blue after getting around and acting normal, followed by a complete personality change.
Either way, that dog would no longer be in my home.

Relax. Treat her right and she will be fine. We have a rescue pit and she is the most lovable and playful dog. She’s about as threatening as my grandmother.
