I've come to think everyone stuck on highways behind some wreck should be allowed to beat the shite out of whoever caused the wreck.

There is roadwork between the Livingston exit and Holden with a slight lane shift.
Probably another moron trucker hauling arse and not paying attention because eastbound traffic at 5am is very scarce on 12.

Which shyster was first in the scene? Although there are probably 4-5 billboards readily visible for the victims to get a number. OP should file suit for the mental anguish of having to see that. Get 'er done, I'd like to help, don't be a victim twice, one call, that's all.
