The project actually broke ground in March of 2014.

Seven years to widen 3.5 miles of highway.

That's insane.

The plan is to widen 30 from LSU to the parish line

It’s funny to see people complaining about a diverging diamond interchange coming. It makes it easy to see which people have never left Louisiana, even for just a vacation.

DDI are designed to be idiot-proof.

The Pecue exit interchange will help as well

Yep. When do they think this will be done?

What are you suggesting? Not address current traffic needs in Baton Rouge so more $$ can be wasted on other crap?

Adding additional lanes does nothing to reduce congestion, to a degree it will reduce the amount of time a route is congested. To actually reduce congestion alternate routes have to be built, it’s traffic engineering 101, something LA seems to have no knowledge of.

do any of the rode construction projects in AP ever actually get finished? I mean, I know they stop working on them but, do they actually get finished?

The airline/621 intersection. worked stopped long ago but, water on the south side of 621 by the mobile home place NEVER drains, just sit there getting stagnant.

replaced the bridge on 621 by duplessis primary, didn't bother to level the road with the bridge.

621/44 construction has been ongoing for a while but, the roadsides are all kinds of fricked up

It adds capacity. If the route is under capacity, it’s not congested.

If your logic was air tight, our interstates would never need to be wider than 4 lanes.

I don't know of a single person who has never left the state. I'm been to 47 states and can't recall driving through one. According to Google, there are like 100 of them in the entire country.

I've driven all over this country. I've also lived in this state my whole life.

You've driven through a traffic circle in Baton Rouge before right? I would say i have to blow my horn at idiots almost everyday b/c they have no idea how to drive. Yield doesn't mean stop if no one is coming.

I hope so, but my complaining has everything to do with knowing how many stupid arse people drive in this state, not if i could grasp this concept of driving.
