Considering the flooding, are there any ways around the I-10 road closures?
I'm hoping to drive from BR to NOLA to visit some family.

Airline may be your best bet

expect major delays in Airline with I-10 closed and I-12 expected to be closed shortly

Why the frick does everybody want to be out and about today?

yeah, i'd expect that. but if you really want to get there, that's going to be the best route.

Never understand why people feel it neccessary to try and go do something when it floods. It's two fricking days. Its like everyone has ADD and they can't just sit home and watch movies or something

I got on in Burnside and had no delays at 6:30 am. Haven't heard anything about closures since.

Add kids under the age of two to the equation and you have a different understanding of the situation.
We left because our house was 6 inches from flooding and I had my young son with me...not staying there.

I'm doing the same thing. I10 is closed from siegan to highland so I'm planning on taking Nicholson to I10 on highway 30.
