I always stop at the Laplace exit no matter if I need to stop or not bc of that bridge, but yeah could say frick and take airline

There is a big sign by the weigh station that tells you if anything is going on

Run Waze and just have a look when you cross the first Laplace exit. Saved my arse several times.

They've now officially closed the interstate eastbound and are diverting traffic off at airline. The bad news is they may have to check the bridge integrity before it can re-open. The good news is now every day will feel like friday.

No updates since 2pm, I'd be shocked if it opens today after watching the video. They'll want to inspect it and just removing what's left of that truck will take hours.

This is why I carry a tacklebox and pole all the time. Get stuck on the bridge? Perfect excuse to fish.

Currently sitting on airline at the spillway. May throw my shite in the car in case I have to deal with this tomorrow too

fricking 40 minute daily commute turning into 2 hours
