Had a coworker who was nervous about telling this new lady he was dating that he had a prosthetic. It was obvious something was going on because he walked with a limp, but she never asked - he never told. Couple date into it he told her and she was cool, till......one night at a company awards banquet he was dancing his arse off and the whole bottom half of his leg came off mid way through "stoke it". He looked at me with puppy dog eyes just before tipping over like Humpty Dumpty. He never saw her again.

ever shake hands with someone who was missing a finger? that feels pretty fricked up- even if you know its missing.
now imagine running your hands down a women's back, over her supple arse, down the back of her thigh, then...nothing but a stump.

Mentally it might feel strange just because you expect something there. But only for one split second, then you realize that you've just stumbled upon a whole new set of sexual positions.
