Azithromycin. It's an antibiotic.

I thought they had reversed the order that you had to be a confirmed positive to get script filled?

It's being prescribed in most states now.

i thought so. So why are outpatient folks saying they can’t get HCQ and AZ? Lack of supply?

No clue.... plaquenil has been somewhat difficult to get, and our supplier allocates only 6 Zithromax, packs of 3 zpacks, per order... but we’ve been dispensing to ppl w/o a positive test for over a week now

Good. Maybe that’ll help with hospital admissions. Starting the drug earlier seems to have better results than those waiting to become sob and waiting until hospitalized to get it.

The board order is still in effect. They reversed the reversal the next day. Need documentation of positive test, 14 days supply, no refills

It is a antibiotic call azithromycin. One of its uses is treating deep lung pneumonia. Trade name, I think, is Z-Pak.

I looked on pharmacy board website and didnt see a reversal of reversal. I just had a script called in a few minutes ago and pharmacy said they would fill it. Haven't been to pharmacy but I'll find out tomorrow.

No it’s not... it was rescinded 3/23...

Again, no they didn’t...

That WAS the emergency rule issued 3/22, which was rescinded the very next day, on 3/23... they advise using “professional discretion”, as it pertains to hydroxychloroquine prescriptions, but there is not a hard rule stipulating there has to be a positive test to dispense it

Last I heard pharmacy board would only allow a positive test for meds to be given.

Good luck being tested.
