I have an ex wife that left for those greener pastures also. It wasn't a preacher though. I am a happier man without her now. I also have provided the stability for all 3 of my kids the last 7 years since the divorce. I just stay away from the ex's drama and all is well now.

I would simply say that if one is going to let one of those goddamned dumbasses do their thinking for them, they are in sad shape themselves.

Most (not all) ministers are wasting my oxygen, eating food that could be put to better use for the starving kids in Indo-China, and clogging up our sewers. The herd certainly needs to be thinned out. The trick is how to do it without going to jail.

Yeah, it allows those assholes to avoid responsibility for their behavior.

The former pastor at my brother's church was plowing the married director of child services.

Having worked the healthcare racket in some of our more backwater parishes (nursing homes primarily) for the last 10 years, I've heard my share of 'end of life confessions'...and elderly black ex-deacons/pastors/preachers, hands-down, have the juiciest stories of them all.

One dude, who I became pretty tight with over the years, flat out stated that for the lower-tier cloth wanna-bes, pussy is 99.9% of the reason for "answering the call" and it is far from a secret. They would have competitions over who would nail the newlywed first, how many they could lay per week (and per day) and even compare pocket cash - offerings from housewives to "the church" as immediate contrition. Like really immediate.

He said the trick was laying some poor sap's wife wife the first time, cuz..."after that, her arse was mine. She wouldn't turn be away EVER, out of fear that I would suddenly need to come clean and confess all that shite right out in the open - from the pulpit itself!"

He had some great stories of Ms. Parker types and jealous husbands/ wives throwing down outside the church. Insanity.

Granted, this wasn't all of them, and I don't mean to infer that. Also, it rarely was the Head Man partaking of the shoplifted poonany. Hell, white preachers are just as bad.

Back in the day it was pretty much expected the preacher was plowing the flock in black and Pentecostal churches, then there is a big emotional revelation/confession and everybody pretends to be mad then they ask for forgiveness and everything is cool. Pass the plate.

Pretty sure you don't have to be perfect to avoid fricking your parishioner's wife. That just requires a modicum of self control.

I love how church people can commit sins and just decide they're all good immediately after by saying they made right with god. They are all hypocritical as frick if you ask me

This is just another example of how gullible people are

Simmons refused to press charges for what exactly.

Thanks Obama. Holy Frick. Pun intended.

Reminds me of this joke:

quote:

A married woman is having an affair. Whenever her lover comes over, she puts her nine year old son in the closet. One day the woman hears a car in the driveway and puts her lover in the closet, as well.

Inside the closet, the little boy says, "It's dark in here, isn't it?

"Yes it is," the man replies.

"You wanna buy a baseball?" the little boy asks.

"No thanks," the man replies.

"I think you do want to buy a baseball," the little extortionist continues.

"OK. How much?" the man replies after considering the position he is in.

"Twenty-five dollars," the little boy replies.

"TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS?!" the man repeats incredulously, but complies to protect his hidden position.

The following week, the lover is visiting the woman again when she hears a car in the driveway and, again, places her lover in the closet with her little boy.

"It's dark in here, isn't it?" the boy starts off.

"Yes it is," replies the man.

"Wanna buy a baseball glove?" the little boy asks.

"OK. How much?" the hiding lover responds, acknowledging his disadvantage.

"Fifty dollars," the boy replies and the transaction is completed. The next weekend, the little boy's father says, "Hey, son. Go get your ball and glove and we'll play some catch."

"I can't. I sold them," replies the little boy.

"How much did you get for them?" asks the father, expecting to hear the profit in terms of lizards and candy.

"Seventy-five dollars," the little boy says.

"SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS?! That's thievery! I'm taking you to the church right now. You must confess your sin and ask for forgiveness, the father explains as he hauls the child away.

At the church, the little boy goes into the confessional, draws the curtain, sits down, and says "It's dark in here, isn't it?"

"Don't you start that crap in here now," the priest says.
