Its still early in the season.
The conditions for the Atlantic are slowly shifting away from El Niño pattern (El nino is more favorable for pacific storms) and will be more favorable for developments later this month

The next two weeks look pretty calm with an overall unfavorable background. Red typically isn't favorable for Hurricanes. Maybe some closer in development the last 1/3 of August? The atmosphere is looking pretty el nino so maybe we can hold things off this season.
