when storms get within a few hours of LA coast they spin down but close to south Mexico coast they can RI?

US gulf coast has a shallow shelf that tends to help weaken a storm right before landfall

Has anyone mentioned the rain totals West of Nashville this morning? They've had 8-10" in places and the NWS Nashville is calling it a "Catastrophic Flooding Event".

Satellite shows you the line separating warm water from cold water, where low level clouds evaporate on their way north across the gulf stream. #Henri will likely continue gradually intensifying until it crosses this line sometime this evening.

Michael 2018 says hey!

was expected to be a Cat 1 or 2 but came onshore near all time intensity record.

I was in PC a week afterward. I became depressed with what I saw there - a nuclear blast like scene.

Felicia Combs seems to think she’s black based on her appearance now. And wearing a mask while reporting. Sad to see her brain is being rotted.

A bit concerned looking at a AMSR-2 microwave pass over #Henri at 1800 UTC. While deepest convection has waned this afternoon, 36 GHz low-level structure looks much improved w/ evidence of a low-level cyan ring. Structure appears poised to intensify if deep convection returns.

Wish we had a few more microwaves up. When I'm director of NOAA, more microwaves and regular recon fights of the North Pacific.

Henri looks like shite.

Equivalent to a thunderstorm in the south but the pussies up North will freak out

I doubt deep convection returns to strengthen. Henri is running out of warm enough water

Henry’s center is around 37N 72W. Right over that cool orange pocket southwest of the 30 degree Celsius warm pocket.

His last shot will be if he hits that 30 degree pocket. Once he gets into the yellow then green there will be slow weakening

Has nothing to do with the angles. It's hair, clothes, greasy skin, etc
