Blazing hot Gulf and the models not doing anything with this thing. We saw the last few years how bad they are at intensity forecasting though.

Cat 2 at landfall, book it.

As Cosmo already pointed out, you're talking about 1 part of a multi-ingredient recipe. That one thing doesn't mean a system will do anything by itself.

Yea, I mentioned early on that land interaction and unfavorable upper levels would probably keep this in check. There are some signs that the upper level environment could improve later on if this is out over the northern Gulf and not riding up western Florida.

A storm has to be organized to take advantage of it. The land interaction and some expected shear as it moves toward the gulf thanks to a weak upper low hanging around.

I think it runs out of time to make much of it's self, unless it gets it's self in the middle of the gulf of something. Then the weak steering and dropping shear would give it an opportunity for something more formidable.

ETA: basically what rds said above

Not at all. I said shear from the west would inhibit it’s development… and that looks about right…

quote:

That dust coming off of Africa will eat those storms up.

and

quote:

Just look at the future of all three of these storms. The dust coming off Africa is gonna cause them trouble….. why do you think they toned down about one of them having a 70% chance down to like 40%…

but hey, continue to look like a fricking Idiot - makes the rest of us laugh at your stupid arse
