Theres a big radar hole further up north in LA but less populated. However, im not sure how they missed this
Probably a lack of a military installation or government facility.
I don’t see how Lake Charles and Pineville each get a radar site without Fort Polk being located there.
There should be a site in the Morgan City area and that would fill in the void and get a radar site deeper into the gulf.
Heck if radar sites are cheap enough for the government they should even put one in Venice to get an even deeper look into the gulf.

That's about as tight a rotation as you'll ever see. Damn.

That tornado is not following the guided path and took a jog to the North.

But there’s really not much that can be done to manage 4.5” in 2 hours.

First to admit ignorance, but did baton rouge do anything to prevent another ridiculous flood in the last three yra?
No actual results are complete yet, but we secured $343 million to build the Comite diversion canal. Construction started on that in April.
Also Garrett Graves secured $1.2 billion in Federal funds for flood mitigation projects. However we haven't received the money yet, and as long as it hasn't been disbursed there will always be another group trying to take it for another cause.

I think maybe I drove through a tornado at Greenwell Springs and Joor. I'm not sure what it was classified as, but it was pretty wild. I took a video of the tail end of it when I stopped at the light.
