Here is the standard chart of the saffir Simpson scale for those who want to understand how large of a hurricane these models are predicting based on estimated pressure

Soooooo if I'm planning on going to the LSU/Florida game.

Obviously, i'd have no trouble driving there. But if I'm planning on leaving sunday, is that possible? Could I leave late Sunday evening after the storm has completely passed? How would the rain be on the back end of the storm?

but people love posting its track as long as it's bad news for our area. Doom and gloom just to get a rise

At the very least, no matter where it goes, it's hauling arse.

Tallahassee has needed some tree triming and roof shingle replacement work for quite some time and this storm might just give them the opportunity to clean things up over there.

rds can you edit the OP and put in the names of the posters who actually have background in weather stuff?

That way people will know what dumbasses to ignore

rds might be the least controversial poster on this site. Your request is a reasonable one, but I doubt he'll comply.

Honestly, when I see him post about literally anything else but weather, I'm always taken back a bit.

I'd say that there isn't really enough certainty to really answer these questions at this point.

Gotcha, thanks.

I guess I'll just monitor it and check back on Friday and make the call.

Why in the world would you want to go to the game?

I am being lazy today.

Yeah someone's gonna deal with a decent storm this weekend.

Which is kinda shitty because prep should probably start Friday. Which is pretty much a day and a half away now.
