It's possible...they're not huge shifts but shifts nonetheless. The projections seem to have it turning NE almost as soon as it hits Louisiana so that's good depending on where you are obviously.

don't think I've ever seen a hurricane move so fast
Weather Channel person said something to the effect of only one or two other storms in the Gulf have ever clocked that kind of speed.
It will help knock those rainfall totals down, though.

RDO data is confirming vortex reflectivity on the leeward parahelic edge as confirmed by NAVstar. GTO intensification should continue throughout sub-linear thermo piling. The one thing that is surprising is the rapid acceleration in the nanometer spectrometry that one would not normally expect with Gerdien aspiration.
Obviously....

I mean I guess it's possible but in only what, 8-10 hours? That's a pretty significant jump. It probably did see about a 30-35mph jump in just 12 hours yesterday though.

I'm waiting for the femtometer spectronomy before I make any hasty predictions.

Didn’t say forecasted, but to prepare for it.
In other words, a CYA announcement

The message had always been expect X plan for one category above.

Waters around Louisiana right now are actually cooler than the waters it's in now. Not by much but it's something I guess.

I love that rds doesn't dumb anything down for others.
Rds definitely dumbs it down for us.
Still and humid in BR. Wouldn't know there's a hurricane mere hours from the coast.

Educate me on storm surges. How far inland should people be concerned about these.
