It’s the earnest deposit. I’m well within my inspection window, contract is contingent on appraisal and force majuer is currently at play to boot. I will absolutely get it back.
ETA: Fingers crossed though nothing crazy and we still move forward. It’s taken months to find something not 700k in the right school zone with enough space.

Seeing some really weird lightning in Tampa accompanied by a loud Thud — it almost sounds like the Tripods from War of the Worlds powering their weapons system — at first I thought it was a transformer blowing up until I saw it over the tree line — been going on for the last hour or so.
