A Lanai is the covered back porch here in florida. The pool cage is the pool cage

I actually have never heard of a "Lanai" until I moved to Floirda. In Georgia, we called it a back porch.

Insane amount of rain here in Pinellas. I can’t measure it but it seems like a flying wall of water.

This Justin Michaels on TWC is a total POS. Guy walking behind him with groceries walking in flip flops. He claims they have seen no one on the street. 15 minutes ago there was a couple walking their dog, a guy riding a bike, and at least 5 vehicles drove by. These sensationalists are the reason people are skeptical of the government 'officials'

The weather channel isn’t the government yet you throw shade on it anyway. It’s like when alabama cheats and gets caught and the SEC goes, “Kentucky will have to pay for this scandal.”

Those pictures are two different people. Top picture is Mike Siedel, who is no longer at TWC. Bottom picture is Rick Knabb, who is TWC’s hurricane expert and is a former director of the National Hurricane Center.

A Lanai is a covered porch or balcony, it's Hawaiian in origin.

Still on the ground. Too close to the airport radar to see much in Velocity. CC drop clear from the other radar despite it being so far away.

At the end of the day, they make money via advertising, so they need to keep more people glued to their TV. And they think the way to do that is to play up every angle, not the least funny of which is Jim Cantore finding a ditch with 3 feet of water to stand in while struggling to stand upright while people in the background walk around with no issue whatsoever.
