Recon is showing winds of 165 right now so looks like the NHC will bump Irma back up to a Cat 5 at the 11 PM advisory

I'm not knocking them. But a ton of people up and down the east coast from Miami to Hilton Head evacuated inland because of government orders and now it's turning out it might be sending more folks into a log jam.

Also, Neptune Beach declared a mandatory evac starting tomorrow. I think that is a little out of line as of the moment, but I get that people need to prepare. There isnt a hotel avail within 5 hours though so people should only leave if they really need to, IMO.

Oh yea true. It was chilly the past couple mornings. Just been laser focused on Irma but now they're saying only a TS by the time she gets up here.

I agree. I hate going against geauxmedic because he is extremely valuable when it comes to these storms but I've always found Breck to be a bit on the extreme/attention whoring side.
