85 mph gust at Barbuda so far, but it is about to get hellacious in the next hour...

Barbuda is the island due west of the eye.

Seriously. Could you imagine hating your life so much that you'd get enjoyment out of something like that?
He doesn't hate himself.

He's extremely self conscious and has literally zero self esteem. He's simultaneously a good looking guy so it confuses him.

Literally zero people skills plus a weird infatuation with yourself(goldennugget) equals what we see here.

I'm more than fine with his antics and I even like him at times. But fricking with this thread is just too easy and low hanging fruit. He needs a break.

Poor Charleston, Savannah, Myrtle Beach and ILM. Charleston is long overdue for their earthquake.

With a central pressure that low? More than likely.

A storm this strong and this powerful, does it even weaken anywhere in Florida? What's the strongest the winds could reach somewhere in the middle of the state? Say Orlando, Lake Okeechobee, etc as opposed to the coast?

Hurricane force winds are about 85 miles across at the most right now. Forward speed will have a lot to do with that too. It is plausible Orlando could see Category 1 or 2 winds, depending on the track.

We're waiting and watching. Our home and my family is in Ocala, but we're in Hilton Head renting a condo (husband was pulled out of retirement for a temp position here). I think we're in a losing situation no matter what.

Most likely still around up to Hurricane force gust at times approx.75+, compared to the general coast broad area range approx.100+ at times

Where this thing makes landfall (could be very high True cat 4-5 winds for some mileage inland, the eye-wall will be curious to see over the next few days as it makes contact with the islands

You do know this thing still could come up your way.

These models are not the final say so of where this storm could be headed. Too many moving parts.

Emotions are heightened in this thread and I wish you would calm down a little bit.

If sustained winds are 170+, is 50 miles inland really making any difference?

I just saw 700 miles wide, she could cover the entire State of Florida. GA SC NC don't have a prayer. Plus the Sunny Point ammo post in the Cape Fear River ILM and the USS NC would be wiped.

Just in: Breaking news I am relieved to hear.

I hope GTMO is next.
