If I was down south I'd be a lot more worried, I'll admit. I still think we luck out compared to what people here are predicting.
I feel the same way being somewhat inland from the GOM. Yet , I'm beginning to think I'm being a stooge and stubborn rather than smart. I don't know what the frick to do. Everyone around me , including the SO, is panicking and I just don't think we will have much trouble besides some debris and shite, maybe. I look at that as I could be someone who's doesn't get affected that's still around to help the folks that need help. I know that nobody else can tell me what's best but frick I need to make a call and go with something and I can't seem to make the call..............Yet.
T/L D/R : I think I should stay and be around to help others that need help , as i don't think we will be affected. I'm struggling with that thought of mine.

If "pucker factor" is still a thing in this thread, then Miami just rang the bell at 10/10.

So the 12z Euro takes out Miami, and the 00z GFS puts a direct hit on Charleston. Damn.

That GFS at 132 hours out (5.5 days) had it off the front porch of SC at 898mb

South Carolina takes a direct hit from a Cat 5 monster in this run

I hate to be mean but that is somewhat better for NC. that FLA GA and SC knocking the edge off but that is dangerous as all get out for GA SC NC.
Also Jose looks like Irma's little baby.

What makes a storm that feeds off warm water avoid the gap under Florida and run along the coast like hat? Just dry air being enough to force it out of the gulf?
